March 20, 2013

Well, it's about time to move forward. New logos, business cards, and website hopefully coming soon! Look forward to a new refreshed image in the coming months.

Jan 31, 2013

Welcome to 2013! A month has gone by and what have I done? Well, I've focused my energy in relocating to Hollywood over the last two months. I'll be in a prime location and it gives me less of an excuse to go out and DO things. Whether that's just going out and spending time with my girlfriend, or attending events and meeting people for coffee. I'm excited to be in Hollywood and I think it'll be great for the future of Bledsoe Audio and everything that may come of it.

I've been networking and meeting with a lot of talented people in the video game industry, and quite frankly I think the people that work in the video game industry are SO passionate, SO talented, and SO down to earth about their art. I've been playing a lot of games lately, catching up on Max Payne 3, Sleeping Dogs, and even diving into a little bit of The Secret World (I never play MMO's! I love it!). It's reminding me why I got into this industry in the first place and why I love sound, music, and art in general. And yes, I consider video games interactive art!

On that note, I'd like to push into the rest of this year and start strong. Building relationships for the future and really creating something amazing. Making money along the way is nice, we all have bills to pay, but in 2013, I want it to be a reminder as to why I got myself into this mess! It's because I can't see myself doing anything else.

November 18, 2012

Happy early turkey day! I feel like a broken record but it is absurd how much time passes by between projects and my updates.

First, I've been so very lucky to work on some fantastic shows on major television networks. I worked on a TV show called "Ball Up" that was essentially a basketball reality TV show that aired on Fox Sports. It was a learning experience as it always should be, but it was very rewarding to put in long hours and edit most of season 2.

I was also able to get my hands on two Lifetime movies (Credied as additional audio) that will premiere as an original Lifetime movie of the week. The first being "Ring of Fire" which is a film about June Carter Cash and her life featuring Jewel (yes, the singer!) The other movie, also fantastic, is a movie called "Sworn to Silence" with Neve Campbell (Scream) and IronE Singleton (The Walking Dead). Again, both were challenging at this stage in my career, and I feel that with every new project I do, I have to step it up. More tracks, more detailed, more thought out and simply more polished to sell the story and the characters.

Aside from that which has taken up the meat of my time, I mastered an album for an amazing band called "Cartoon Bar Fight" which you can check out here. They were great to work with and create fantastic music! I wish them the best of luck in their music careers.

Lastly, I've been working on the audio for an upcoming iOS game called Jack Ask! Check it out and add the official page on Facebook!

And that's it for updates. As a side note, I'm hoping to revamp my website a bit in the near future. Going to have some new mugshots (Ugh) and some new logo designs. We'll see how that pans out!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and you probably won't hear from me until 2013 because... Well, that's what happens.

July 4th, 2012

Happy 4th of July! Today calls for another much needed update. I've been working in the film world for the past few months, having composed the music for "Top Priority: The Terror Within" along with doing the sound editing. It's a great documentary that you can read (And watch) more about here: http://topprioritymovie.com/ It's out in theaters now and I'm proud to have been a part of such a great project. I also just finished sound editing on an urban comedy entitled "Hillbilly Highway." There's also a new "Suicide Kings 2" by Digital Lprechaun in the app store which features original music composed by me, check that out!

Aside from the normal work, I had a fantastic time at E3 this year in downtown Los Angeles. It was my first time attending the event and all I can say that it was MASSIVE! I met so many wounderful people and it really makes me happy to be a part of such an awesome group of people. There were people from all over the world with all sorts of different skills and it's really neat to be in one place just enjoying entertainment. All I can say is that I am super stoked for Borderlands and the new Medal of Honor. I'm also throwing a shoutout to my friend Sean and his team at Visceral because they had a KILLER demo for Dead Space 3. I'll definitely be attending next year and I hope to see even MORE faces!

I'm really excited for the second half of this year, I've got some unannounced titles that I will be working on and I'm stoked to share it with everyone. I'm also trying to diversify and deliver liscensable music via different avenues such as Audio Jungle. I want to be able to provide different services for my clients no matter the budget, so I think this is an obvious direction to go so I can hit all areas. I'm continuing to expand my business this year and I think all the hard work will pay off in the end.

Thanks for reading this entry today. I don't post much on my website, so please feel free to connect with me via Facebook or LinkedIn and see what I'm up to on a regular basis.

Dec 10, 2011

Is it almost 2012 already? Wow!

I just finished Suicide Kings for iOS with Joe Wilcox. Had a blast working on that. So check it out here!

I am also mixing a couple of rock and metal albums, so that'll keep me busy for awhile. On the other hand, I've got plenty of neat projects for 2012. Many of which I cannot discuss, but I'll keep posting them as they come up.

Lastly, I had a great opportunity to work on the film "White T" as a sound editor. Should be out soon.

I'm keeping it short this time. Lots of things to do. If you want to give me even MORE things to do, give me a holler! I love working on new projects, so lets make this an awesome 2012.

Sep 19, 2011

Does time fly or what? So between then and now I've been working on some cool new projects:

Suicide Kings (iOS - TBA), Blind Frog (iOS - TBA), Wild Arena (XBLA - Alpha in 2011, Final in 2012)

I am also finalizing a few other projects to stay busy. I've been very appreciative about the amount of work I have seen coming in. It's always a humbling experience every time I write a piece of music that people can consume and enjoy. And to do it professionally is just outstanding. I've also been picking up some more work in terms of teaching, which I am always excited to meet new people and help them with their creative endeavors (And hopefully help them overcome those darn technical hurdles!)

As a side note, has it been hot or what?! What a crazy hot summer filled with too much air conditioning. And yet, I haven't gotten outside enough to enjoy the southern California beaches. Maybe that should change soon :) Stick around, listen to my music, check out my new projects, find me on facebook, linked in, email me, keep in touch! I'd love to hear from you.

July 16, 2011

I really can't begin to explain my excitement. It's been a busy two months as I 've been signing contracts, meeting new people, and bringing in new projects. I'll be proudly announcing a few titles in the next coming weeks as I finalize and tie up some loose ends. I appreciate everyone contacting me for quotes on their project, and I am BEGGING you! Please send me an email if you need any audio done for your project. I absolutely love it when people come to me with excitement and enthusiasm, whether this is your first iPhone app or you are a professional developer. I'd love to chat about your project and discuss what I can do to meet your needs in the audio department.

Again, I am very excited to be announcing a couple of new projects within the next month, so check out my music on my soundcloud profile (Under audio), and keep your eyes peeled in the credits section for new works!

May 23, 2011

Just wanted to update on what I've been working on recently! It's been quite a busy few months. First off, I've been working on and off at Artistry in Sound in Hollywood. It is a post-production facility well known for pictures such as Leverage, 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Last Samurai, and much more. It's truley been wonderful to work under under Ken Johnson and I hope to be able to showcase some more stuff in the future!

Secondly, I'm going to start teaching Pro Tools and Logic/Garageband at Guitar Center Studios within the week, so it should be a nice way for me to interface with people eager to learn, and I can keep up my chops by constantly being on my toes :)

Lastly, I finished some work on a WW2 documentary called "Hitler and the Nazis." I composed original music for a segment of this show, and I'll post some more updates in regards to that. I've also been working on some music for 2 unannounced PC games, more details to be coming soon.

In other words, I've been super busy! And super grateful to be working with great people, great artists, and I've already got more projects lined up for this summer. Of course, I'm always open to taking on more projects that I can fit in my schedule, so do not hesitate to contact me about your project. I hope I'll be able to showcase some of my new work soon, I've very excited as to what this year has brought me.

February 8, 2011

This is my first update since last year, and I must say, some interesting things have happened between now and then. First off, I finished writing music for Duty Calls, a promo for People Can Fly's game Bullestorm out this month. It was a fun project to work on as it was an actual PC downloadable game. The video however, got a ridiculous 1 million views just within a few days and seems to be a hit among the gaming community. I can say that I am quite proud! Second, I am working on a brand new Steam title that I believe will be fun and feature a rather unique soundtrack on my part. I'm really excited to be working on this project and I would love to share tidbits via Soundcloud in the coming months. Just these two projects have really kept me positive this year with all the change that has been going on around me. I have been very inspired to write new music, so you should find about 50 tracks now on my soundcloud! Thanks for stopping by :)

December 24, 2010

Happy Holidays! It's that time of the year and I'm happy to announce a few things.

First, I'm proud to say Global War has finally been released for the iPhone and iPad. You can get that on the iTunes store as a free download. I was a sound designer and provided music for the project! I'd like to say thanks to my friend Colin Petty who has allowed me to be a part of the project.

Secondly, The House of Paradise, the short film I was working on earlier in the year has now been released on vimeo! The link can be found under my projects page.

Lastly, I'm currently working on an unnanounced project that I am very excited about and I hope you'll be able to see the final version soon!

On a side note, I hope you have a great christmas (Or whatever you may celebrate at this time of the year!) and happy new year. I'm looking forward to 2011 now that I have settled here in the Los Angeles area. I hope to seek new opportunities, meet new people, and push forward with some positive energy!

November 22nd, 2010

Yes, my friends. It has come to this. While I have very much enjoyed my experience here in the Bay Area. I must now leave it and start a new chapter in Los Angeles. My girlfriend and I have decided it would be best for us to relocate to Los Angeles county, and I hope to gain many more wonderful opportunities and meet great people in the entertainment industry. It is all very exciting, and you will hear from me soon.

I have just finished working with Andrew Herwitz on The House of Paradise, and have been working plenty hard on my own compositions. I am looking to get an online store up and running soon. I plan to release a small experimental album with the launch of the store. Until then, I'm seeking full time opportunties in Southern California, and would love to do some sound design, editing, composing... Anything audio! Because it's what I love, and it's what I do.
